2008 Working Camper Session Dates, Fees and Options:

Tuition Fees:
Fees are noted next to each session option by age.  Working Campers must attend at least three weeks and only the first 10 campers enrolled for each session will be accepted as follows according to date of enrollment:

Ages 15 & 16: one-third off regular tuition rates
Age 17+: one-half tuition

Available Trips/Programs for Working Campers:

Please Note Requirements for Trips/Programs before selecting sessions with these options:
Rafting #1---Nantahala River, ages 10+, must weigh at least 60 lbs  (3-week stay minimum)
Rafting #2---Chatooga River, ages 12+ only (3-week stay minimum)
Rafting #3---French Broad River, ages 10+, must weigh at least 60 lbs (3-week stay minimum)
Cherokee Indian Reservation- all-day sightseeing & shopping trip, campers supply own spending money, lunch/snacks provided by camp, no age restrictions  (3-week stay minimum)
Gem Mining---takes one program period per length of stay, on-site program, campers may elect to followup with a jewelry making class, all ages.   (any length of stay)
Session Break #1  July 12---Destination will be announced in the Spring.  Campers will need own spending money.  (Multi-session attendance must include date of trip.)
Session Break #2  July 26---Destination will be announced in the Spring.  Campers will need own spending money.  (Multi-session attendance must include date of trip.)
Western Riding Program--- Limited to the first 21 campers enrolled. Fees must be paid in full with this application. If there are no spaces open we will contact you and put you on a waiting list and not charge the fees until you have a confirmed placement.

For good and valuable consideration, I hereby consent to and authorize the reproduction, publication, and use by Camp Winding Gap and the American Camping Association and their successors and assigns, for advertising, commercial, or any other purpose, of any photograph, picture or likeness of my child.  I understand the activities and programs as outlined in the Camp Winding Gap information and grant permission for my child to participate. We understand and expressly assume all risks, and hereby release and discharge Camp Winding Gap/Bay-Horse Farm, Inc. , their owners, agents, servants, and employees from any claims of liability or damages whatsoever, arising, or which might arise out of my childs participation in activities and programs offered by Camp Winding Gap/Bay-Horse Farm, Inc. In addition we have read the CWG Camp Policies and understand and agree to them.  I understand that campers are not permitted to use the telephone during their stay, nor use of the email or fax systems- sending or recieving.  We also give our permission for our child to participate in any of the above seleceted trips & kits. ALL campers must take a basic swim test on Opening Day so that we can evaluate their ability. Please make sure your child knows this policy before attending!

$250 nonrefundable Tuition Deposit required with submission of this application.

If enrolling after any of the dates below, earlier due payments must also be submitted with deposit.

  • Late payments (1-30 days overdue) incur a $35 late fee each month
  • Late payments over 30 days will be dropped from enrollment.
  • Returned checks incur a $30 charge, in addition to the late fee.

  • There are no refunds of any fees given after February 1, 2008. All fees must be paid in full by May 15, 2008.
    Changes to sessions (increases/decrease in length of stay, etc.) must be made prior to February 1, 2008 (subject to availability).
    Adjustments made after this date are subject to availability only.
    Refunds/discounts are not given for decreasing length of stay after February 1, 2008.

    NOTE: Discounts do not apply to added trips and can only be taken from the full Regular Rate tuition).
